New guide: k9copy
Monday, 17 September 2007
Another GNU/Linux guide was added today covering one of the most wanted subjects, DVD9 to DVD5 copying. The program we use is the best of this category for Linux, k9copy. You can read the new guide here.
Please note that we have already added another Linux guide for DivX/XviD to DVD using ManDVD here and a Linux distribution review for Arch Linux in our blog here. Stay tuned for much more Linux content as well as some new Windows guides covering new formats and codecs.

Arch Linux Review
Thursday, 13 September 2007
This is the very first review I 'll be writing for my blog. I decided to start with a Linux distribution review and I choose Arch Linux (www.archlinux.org). The reason I didn't write an article for a more well known distribution (or distro as Linux users call it) like Ubuntu or openSUSE is that besides the fact that dozens of reviews for those exist already, I happen to believe that Arch is an excellent flavor of Linux that hasn't got the share of publicity and attention if deserves from the community yet.

DVD-Guides.com Blog
Thursday, 23 August 2007

Its been quite some time now that I wanted to start a weblog, publishing my thoughts about various matters, mostly technology and computer related. I was wondering if I should start a personal blog like most people do, but to be honest this has become something like a "trend" in our times that I turned that idea down. However shortly afterwards I thought that my personal blabbing could actually interest some DVD-Guides.com readers! That, combined with the fact that this site is my first and older project (hey we have been 4 years online!) made me take the decision to host this blog here.

Linux Guides
Wednesday, 15 August 2007
Linux LogoAs you can see from the poll in your right, many of our users seem interested in Linux guides. And so, as we had already announced today we introduce the Linux guides category and add our first guide that explains the steps of converting an DivX, XviD or MPEG file to a full featured DVD with ManDVD. We hope you enjoy this first guide and let us know if you liked it from the comments form or the forum. We already have the subjects for a couple more Linux guides that walk you through all the basic video tasks in Linux.
Note that we also added a Linux forum category where you can ask your questions considering the guides or generally talk about Linux. You can find it here.
