Title: Creating DVD-Video on DVD-RAM disk
Post by: Wellswood on July 26, 2008, 09:45:45 AM
Using Nero 7 I selected DVD/DVD-Video and copied all of my video files (.BUP, .IFO, .VOB) to the video_ts folder.  Nero burned the compilation onto a new Panasonic DVD-RAM disk and no errors were reported.  I was able to play the DVD I created on my computer but I was unable to play it on my Panasonic DMR-E55.  The message unformat (not unformatted) appears. I used another disk from the same pack in the Panasonic DMR-E55 and it was ready to record.  No request for me to format the disk.

Files in the compilation were created using Womble Mpeg video software.  On my first attempt I tried encoded to PAL.  On the second attempt, using a new disk, I encoded to PAL. The Panasonic DMR-E55 can play commercial DVD's that are either PAL or NTSC.

Please can someone advise me how to make videos I can watch on the Panasonic DMR-E55.

Thanks in advance. ???

In my personal opinion, nero is not the best in the market! I think that Xilisoft DVD Creator (http://www.xilisoft.com/dvd-creator.html) is the best DVD burner and it can provide very high quality movie burning .
