hi
i have some sony video 8 cassettes full of my son and his mates from 20 years ago
i think it would be good to copy them to dvd b4 they deteriorate any more
i have the camcorder, but havent a clue where to start
i am fairly computer savvy
i have been reading some of the guides on here, but they seem to ommit the basics
i.e. where and when to plug in the leads, and when to actually press the play button on the camera
am i totally confused? or is this easier than i am making out?
any help/guidance appreciated

Hi,

you need a video-in card or a USB adapted for that job.

If you ask in a computers store and tell them what you want to do, they will help you get the right one that will include all software required. Then you just connect your camera to it and follow the instructions.
