Title: dvd-movie burn (Nero 6) using dvd-rw - won't play in set top dvd player Post by: hacienda on September 17, 2008, 06:51:46 AM I have recently converted a 700mb avi using convertXtodvd. The files and structure seemed to go ok. I then burned the files to dvd-rw using nero 6. The dvd plays on my pc, but when inserted into my domestic set top player - guess what - it says no disc. Could it be that I need to use dvd-r or dvd+r. (I need to buy some if that is the case). Also when I have burned the the dvd and then tried to erase, I get illegal disc, so I have already mashed up 2 dvd-rw. Please help, cheers in anticipation.

I then tried the disc in my set top player and it seemed ok - then it just stopped on a frame half way through, but kept running (frame shot frozen). I tried to go to the next chapter, but it struggled to get to the end. Could this be a bad conversion (also included chapters when there were none on the origanal avi)? Please help.
