Trying to convert an AVI to DVD using DIKO. After about 1.5 hours I get a message "Error 19", "Pulldown failed. Enabling the 3:2 pulldown flag via pulldown.exe returned an error flag. You can configure DIKO to ignore this failure (sometimes it doesn't cause problems)". The AVI file is perfectly playable with Media Player. The only thing I want is to convert it, and burn it to DVD so I can watch it on my DVD-player. Actually, I think that he program - before it does anything more - first verifies that all preconditions for the conversion are satisfied and if not, informs the user and gives advice what to do to make the conversion work. Also, the message "you can configure..." doesn't make me very happy. I wonder - How?
Tried to convert an AVI-file to DVD. Does'nt work at all. I am working in the aircraft industry, with safety-critical real-time systems. I know that thorough testing is essential. A program should ALWAYS work, not only most of the time or 'sometimes'. If it does not ALWAYS work, don't release it.
