Did you get it from a public tracker? as with private you know what you are getting most of the time and can usually get help in the tracker forums,i never use public and never have problems with movies and i download 80gig a month.

I have been using ConvertXtoDVD for some time and think its the best overall converter around I never have any issues with it, the only time when i have had a bad result is when the input file was not up to scratch. Make sure you are using good quality disc's such as Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim and burn at 8x  and do a slow convert.

i'm not being a smart ass or smth but you have given no info on what format the files are , and if you are going to use torrents and want to burn them , then :Google is your Friend: has helpede endless times

a dvd rip is when you extract the files form the dvd,you can have different output files,depending what you choose.

can you tell us what the file extension is?..it could be that you have a bunch of rar file's,if you do have then you need winrar to extract them and you will end up with an .avi file.
you the move on and convert this file to dvd then burn to disc.
if you read through the forums here(as i have been doing) you should find what programs are best for this conversion
nero does do it but you may not like nero so there are many to chhose form.
