I'm trying to convert a DVD to .avi, which I will then encode to play on my BlackBerry.  There is a drop down list of devices on the first FU screen and since Blackberry is not one of them, I assume I need to choose from the "Unrestricted high quality encoding profiles" list. I have no idea which one is the correct one to use.  H.264/aac/mp4, fast, slow, etc.



Any suggestions about this and anything else that would help a newbie with this process would be very much appreciated.

Is there a way to convert a purchased TV show from itunes to play on a portable DVD player.  I am considering buying one, most specifically to watch the TV shows I purchase.  If there is a way, how would I do it?  And what would I convert it to (format) to play on most players.  I don't have the capabillity to burn DVDs on my computer.
