1  Various Formats To DVD / DivX / XviD To DVD / How to use Windows DVD Maker? on: May 24, 2008, 01:25:44 PM
I have already read the guide on how to use this program in the guides section. But when I try to add any file, I get the msg that

'0 files were successfully added'
'1 File could not be added'
'The.....avi file may be corrupted or not valid'

I am trying to convert an avi(xvid) file to dvd, so I can watch it on my dvd player. But I am unable to do so. The file works fine on my computer, except for Windows media player as I do not have the proper codec installed yet. So, it's not corrupt.

Also, I tried adding various other avi files to convert, but I got the same msg for each. The program isnt allowing me to add any avi files at all. None. I find it highly unlikely that all my movie files are corrupted.

So what am I doing wrong? Any help.....
2  DVD Burn / DVD Burning Tools / How to create Video DVD with Ashampoo Burning Studio 7? on: May 24, 2008, 01:17:43 PM
I am trying to burn an avi(Xvid) movie onto a dvd so I can watch it on a dvd player. I have Ashampoo Burning Studio 7, which has the option 'Create a Video DVD - Playable on all DVD Players.'

When I try to add my avi file, I get an error msg. Am I doing something wrong? Why am I unable to add the avi movie file & burn directly?

I am under the assumption that I do not need to convert the avi to DVD first & then burn the DVD folder. Ashampoo will automatically do this, rite?Huh?

Any input will be appreciated....

Thanks
