I am a newbie...I have alot of DVD music videos.I would love to take a song or two from multiple DVD\'s and put it on one dvd.I was told to use DVD Decryptor and then DVD Shrink. When I use DVD Decryptor I see alot of VOB(?)files.Do I need to convert them to another type of file? If anyone could help me, I would appreciate it.I am trying to find guides to do this, but nothing is working.I appreciate any help and thank you!

Hi, and welcome to the forums.

Well u need to use DVDShrink or DVD decryptor and extract the videos you want/need, just check on those u need..

Once they are in your HDD, you can use DVDShrink to merge the DVD. But if you want a menu and other stuff, you need to get a trial version of TMPGEnc DVD Author. From here you can merge all your music videos into 1 DVD with a menu

Thanks for the info...OK...when I use DVD Decryptor, how can you tell the chapters(songs)? All I see are VOB files, with no names,songs,etc.It\'s not like burning a audio cd, where you can see the title(song) and drag and drop.If you can answer this question, I will appreciate it.thanks

well if u use dvd decryptor, there is no preview window, so u may need to use windows media player/ power dvd to playback the different chapters to find out which soundtrack you want to rip. You will need to note the different chapters

Another easy way is to use DVDShrink, then there is a preview window where u can see if it is the correct chapter to rip..

I need some clarification about your answer.

I know how to rip DVD using DVDshrink, and extract the VOB file to my HD.

Having done this to two DVDs (Chosen the tracks I want) how exactly do I combine the two libraries to one DVD and how can I Jump between tracks.

I don\'t want to add a menu just basic functionality i.e. chapters and the abilty to jump through tracks.

I\'d appreciate any help and suggestions you may offer.

Hi,

First you need to rip both DVDs to your HDD, then choose reauthor, drag and drop the 1st whole movie from the DVD Browser to DVD Structure then the 2nd movie. CLick on backup. There will not be any chapters.

To create chapters you will need to use TMPGEnc DVD Author to create them. But do note it is not freeware.
