:ermm: I just bought 1-click DVD software made by LG Inovations on thei sites recommendation. I downloaded it, tried it, and it didn\'t work. In fact it refused to see the DVD disk in the drive! I uninstalled it and then reinstalled it to try again. Same thing happened. I have communicated with the company since Apr.12 and I asked them to refund the money because it didn\'t work. I uninstalled for good and sent them all the codes etc. to show my good intentions.
They have not responded! They keep making suggestions for fixes which do not work!
Pay pal cannot help because it was downloaded!

WARNING! Do not buy for that company! Do not ever by downloaded software via Paypal! Only use trail software untill you are sure it works.

Tell your friends. If the company ever does pay me back I will post that fact.

Hi,

you should include the link of the company that sells this product, if you want to help our users from buying it! Tell them you posted it here, and they\'ll make attention!  Wink

At the top of this website there are two links. One says DVD Copy Software and the other says Free software downloads.

I clicked on DVD Copy Software and it took me to a site that said they reviewed the top DVD writing software and this company 1-click is the first one that pops up at the top.

I see now that it must be only advertising, but I thought that this was your own review site and that the software beingrecommended was being recommended by you.

Still, the company has not offered me my money back. They keep trying to get me to download again or use new software. Obviously I am not happy with this approach.

Maybe we just warn people that those links are just paid advertising and you accept no responsibility for any claims made at those sites.

Here is the link of our privacy / user policy:

External Site Links
Afonic DVD Guides links to other websites on the internet. Content and Privacy Policies are the responsibility of their respective owners.

We cannot be resposible for other site\'s content as the links are automatically created, therefore we cannot check them.

How ever now that I\'ve seen them I warn our users, sites like that:
http://top-dvd-copy-software.top3-reviews.com/
only base their reviews on the ammount of money they make from the program\'s affiliate programs. So when you buy something from them they get a percentage of the sale. The best they get the higher they rate the product. For example CloneDVD2 which is the best commercial program is not in the list, nor DVD Shrink which is better than all these programs and free.

The program our user had trouble is here:
http://www.1clickdvdcopy.com/index.htm
as she said in this post and our emails their support is bad, and the program didn\'t work, but they didn\'t offer her a reply and neither reply in their emails.

meroz, please contact the company and let them know about this post. I make it sticky for the time being for more users to read it and be careful what they buy.

Hi, I\'ve just joined though I\'m far from a newbie if people recognise the name Tongue

I just saw this post and reckon it\'s a bit unfair . I\'m pretty sure you can use it a few times before also in the trial version so you could have checked to see if it worked before you bought it. If you had known this then you would have seen that it wouldn\'t find the drive Sad. That\'s why it pays to do a bit of research before commiting to purchasing and I always reommend this as the internet can be a cruel place if you don\'t

I\'ve nothing to do with 1Click but I do know they have a forum and I highly doubt it\'s as bad as this thread seems to make out. If it was a rip off I\'m sure you would see it a lot more often due to the amount of users it has Smiley

saying that as you will probably be a bit sick so what exactly was your problem anyway?. What\'s your info such as the Drive, DVD, operating system etc. Have you ripped the DVD or are you trying to read it direct. If you are reading it direct are you using something like DVD43 or AnyDVD?. Sometimes it\'s guys like us that know how to fix things and not the software developers themselves

it\'s always best to hunt down an official forum if you can. Here is a link to the forum which I found in the Contact page and maybe some of those guys there will help you out

I want to thank ALFONIC for the resposes to my post and even MackemX who seems to disagree with me. I am only offering my experience which has been very bad. Even paypal, who was the payment medium says they have received complaints before and are considering launching an investigation into the companies reliability.

This is about fair practice. If someone buys your product and it does not work for them, or even if they just don\'t like how it works, they should be able to return it and get their money back. It\'s not like they can\'t sell the product to someone else.

I have learned a costly lesson, but I did not realize at the time that I was visiting a commercial site when I clicked on the link that took me to that page.
I am posting this to help others. I use DVD Shrink now. It is free and works brilliantly.

it\'s a shame it was a costly lesson and I was willing to try to help you out as I hate to see people paying for software they don\'t use because it won\'t work for them. I do this as I know of a few people around my local area/work that have also learnt the hard way Sad. It\'s good to see you are pleased with DVDShrink though Smiley but it still doesn\'t get you your money back. With online purchases, you will find very few developers willing to refund as it\'s virtually impossible to guarantee it still won\'t be used. That\'s also one reason why Paypal don\'t refund

I used to sell DVDStripper which didn\'t work for a minority of people and one person complained to Paypal as it didn\'t work. Paypal then sent me a very unfriendly email just because 1 person couldn\'t get it to work!. Only 2 people ever asked for refunds and both got them and 1 actually bought the software again once it worked for them

I\'m not disagreeing with you as you are well within your rights. I don\'t see how it will affect larger companies as downloaded software has very little cost to get to the customer . I guess I\'m just saying most (if not all software) will ever work on every system in the world. It\'s just some have more issues than others. The difference is that usually the Operating System setup that is to blame. I know this as I\'m forever fixing people\'s computers that don\'t work for some reason Sad and very rarely it\'s a bug to blame. With you saying that it could not see your drive rings a bell as DVDStripper had the same problem for a few people. Is that the problem that stopped you using the software?

the same goes for hardware also I guess even if you can take it back to the shop. If you buy something that doesn\'t work on your system is it faulty even though it works on 99% of other systems? I know this as I bought a motherboard and found out that the graphics card I had was imcompatiable after I tried to install it. It took me 30 minutes of moaning before I got a refund, probably just to get me out of the shop Cheesy

the difference with me I guess, is that if something doesn\'t work I ver rarely blame the item unless I know I\'m in the majority and not the minority Wink. I would keep at them for my money back as they shouldn\'t be faceless and accept the fact it just won\'t work for some   Wink

I just want to add that I mainly wanted to criticise the review site (the first link). Sites like that are made by people that didn\'t even throughtly tested the products, just entered some affiliation company, checked  the commission percentages, and rated the programs by that.

Then they spend some money advertising and start getting sales. This sites can be considered fraud.

As for the company, anyone who sells products and doesn\'t reply the support emails while he says he offers support cannot be a trusted vendor.

Final word on this: The company is not responding to my e-mails at all and have blocked my address.
Paypal has no set up for making restitution in any case of downloaded software but they have said they will look into their continued business with this company. Mine was not the first complaint.

Lastly, Paypal customer service offered me a $25 courtesy contribution back on my account because of the situation. Note that with paypal, they will take any payment from your bank account unless you indicate on the payment form, before you click \"continue\" that you want it on a credit card. If you update your credit card info, log out of any payment window and start all over again or, like me, you will have the money taken from your bank. A credit card company will at least cause an investigation that involves a charge back to the company untlii the matter is resolved.
