I have been encoding movies from avi xvid ect to super video then burning them onto CD-R for ages with no probs. I now have a DVD burner so thought it would be as simple to encode and burn onto DVD-R, but every time i put a movie into TMPGEnc3XP all is fine till I get to encode then I get this error (There is no quoted number of character-string \'%.2f.). What am I doing wrong? can anyone please help?
As the name implys im only a Bit thick (I think) lol

Hi,

this is a common problem but no solution has been found yet. Doing some research might help you find something.

In older posts of mine, I said this seems like a bug, so make sure you have the latest version of the program, most likely it will fix it.

Hi thanks for that, I tried reducing the amount of disk used in the bitrate settings from 100% to 96% and it worked to a point, it started encodeing but failed at 50% with Invalid sample format. (error code 0x80048002) So for now will continue putting onto CD-R and keep trying to find a way to get my movies onto DVD-R. If anyone out there has a solution to my prob I would be grateful  thanks Smiley
