Anyone know hwat I can do to get my MKV into DVD. It has sof coded subs that I need to put in as hard coded or DVD selectable subs. And I can\'t use VirtualDubMod to do it because I get the error Only Handle [S_TEXT/] subs for the moment. So any ideas. I was hoping to watch it tonight but I don\'t think thats happening  Sad

Hi,

Afonic may know how to do this. Perhaps you can wait for him to come back (should be on the 30th)

Hmmm all I would do in the case is use VirtualDubMod and extract the subtitles but you say you get an error...

I will have a look for some other way and post  here if I find something.

I'm bringing this thread back up again  Grin.

I'm having the same trouble with this Love Hina series I got. But I think I worked around it using mkvextract (must've just been the way i ripped it or something) Now I have two AAC/HE sound tracks (both 5.1) and one subtitle track.  I can't figure out what to use to make it into a DVD. I can't find anything that will take a 5.1 AAC track. Any programs you guys know of? I would like the DVD to have both tracks (selectable with the remote).

Thx abunch  Cheesy

Ok I got the new WinAVI and used it. The problem is it will only let me one or the other audio track. Any program that will let me use both? Or any program that can convert AAC 5.1 audio to like AC3? Paid or free

Ok I was introduced to Switch (an audio conversion program) and it takes care of my audio problem. Now for yet another problem Tongue.  My video is being sped up, from 21 1/2 minutes long to 17 1/2 minutes long. Here is what I'm doing:

Using MKVextract to pull apart the file

I take the two audio tracks and run them through Switch, turning them from 5.1 AAC to MP3 192 stereo.

I use MKVmerge and mege the two new MP3 tracks with the old Divx video that came from the original MKV and also the srt file

What I get is a new MKV file with basially only the audio tracks switched out

Now when i read these files with mediainfo, it says both the original and my new one uses 29.97fps Divs video. But when I play my new MKV the video is moving fast. It starts out fine, then 2 seconds later its already four seconds ahead, and it just continues to speed along. The music and the subs however a\is still ok. Any idea how to slow the video down?

I've found out that DVDSanta can do it perfectly. But it can only do one audio track. Know anything like it that can take 2 tracks? I tried using AVI2DVD, but it goes out of sync about 2 minutes in.
