Hi

I have just bought and downloaded FU Wizard v2.

Installed no prob, opened up app, and clicked options, the right hand side of the screen is cut off??

I cannot extend it by the normal stretch method for windows, ie click the corner.

Please help? this is very frustrating, it happens on all the screens

I have tried a restart - NG

Changed resolution on my TFT - NG (from 1280X1024 to 1024X768

Has anyone got this problem? surely it must be the app? and so everyone must have it?
Andy

Hello,

I have already head about this about 2 or 3 times since I started the FU development, but I never was able to reproduce it.

Does your 1.x FU install exhibit this behaviour too ?

this FU v2 is on my new PC. I have never installed  FU v1 on it

The PC is not a self build but a bought one from a shop.
Pentium 4 3Ghz [519]
512Mb RAM
Win XP Home SP2
250Gb HDD

Please help this is annoying, I cant install FU v1 yet, but can tomorrow, but cant see what difference that will make, I can post some screen shots tomorrow to.

why is it only on a few PCs??

What was the solution for the same issue on FU v1 then ump?  I cant imagine the users who had the problem just left it?

Please help
Andyloc

Well, I actually have no idea why this happens. Could you please list ALL software installed on your new computer ? (even unsignificant ones).

Thanks,

I\'ve never seen this problem, ever, so can only grasp at straws. You say you have an LCD monitor? What is its size & native resolution? What is the Video adapter (as shown in the Device Manager of XP) and do you have the Latest driver for this adapter?

As I write this, I realize that I HAVE SEEN a problem somewhat similar. That is, some dialogs sometimes open in such a way that (for example) the Open and Cancel buttons are off the screen, and I have to re-position the window to see them. I don\'t know what this is about, I have always assumed an XP glitch of some sort (does not happen w/FUW though). It is as if XP thinks I have a much bigger screen, and the window comes-up center in a bigger virtual screen. Can you re-position FUW or is is \"stuck\" so you can never see the right-hand side?

It would certainly help the rest of us andy if you answer these questions and also if you can post a screen shot of what you are seeing...

it is a 17\" TFT with native resolution of 1280X1024. I have the latest driver {v77.77} for my graphics card which is a Nvidia Geforce 6200TC

Ican drag the FU v2 window about no probs to see all of the full window but the right hand side is still cut off.

So what do I do? It is hard to use the app, if I cant use it can I get a refund?

cheers

It\'s difficult to help cuz I don\'t know what you\'re looking at--screenshots would help, one showing what it looks like when it opens, another after you\'ve dragged it. You say the right-hand side is cut-off; does this mean that FUW is way off-center on your screen? It\'s a relatively small window even on my screen which is smaller than yours (1152x864).

I would try a free program called \"AutoSizer\". It can tell Windows to always open a window in the same spot, and Maximized/Minimized/Restored/Centered, etc. Why don\'t you dl it and see it it can cause FUW to open properly centered on your screen. You can find it

Andyloc I think I may know your problem, as I believe I have just discovered why I\'ve had similar problems:

Look at your Display settings i.e. right-click on Desktop, select Properties, then Advanced button, then your Nvidia card tab. It should open Nvidia\'s control utility. Look for an area called \"Desktop Management\", and make sure \"enable all nView features\" is Enabled.

Under Destop Management & Windows, you should find some boxes, including \"Enable WIndows across multiple Displays\". If this is checked, or Enable Windows Off-screen, UNCHECK THEM!

I hope this works for you!

EDIT: I should have said \"Prevent Windows from opening off-screen\" should probably be CHECKED!!!

EDIT2: Now I see that the nVidia utility makes AutoSizer unnecessary! I believe that now my own problem has been solved, as my GeForce (nVidia) card was set to think I had 2 monitors, when I do not!
