First of all, I hope you all like our new design as well as our new forum interface!
Generally, everything should work fine, but let me list some things existing users must be aware of!

1) Login Problems
If you have trouble logging in, please first delete your cookies and try again. Then make sure the "Remember Me" option is enabled. If you still have trouble, try to login from the forum login form. If you still cannot login please use the Contact Us page to let us know. (remember to tell us that you read this message and tried the stuff above).

2) Avatars
If you had an avatar you'll find it still works. However to achieve that we added your avatar in the site gallery! So please, get in your profile and deselect the user of an avatar that is on the site, choose to upload one and re-upload your avatar. We will remove the old avatars in 2 weeks time so please do this now.

3) Attachments
Some attachments have been removed. If you need something from the old ones that have not been moved, please PM me.

4) Ranks
The old ranks have been changed to the default ones of this forum. We will restore them after we decide of the new ones with the other mods / admins.

Done. If you have some better idea about rank titles, PM me!

5) Guides
Some guide images are very big, therefore the site appears broken while viewing those pages. We are currently editing them, but we may miss some. Please PM me or use the contact page to report such a problem.

Fixed.

6)Unread posts
Because of the conversion, all posts of the forum are marked as unread to old users. Please click the "Mark as read" button on the bottom of the forum index to correct that.

7) Still having problems?
If you have other problems, please reply to this post and let us know.

Thanks!

Known issues:

1) Post font is grey, not easily readable.
We are aware of that and currently looking for the fix to make it black again!

Fixed. Clear your cache if you still see it grey.

2) Even when I select "Remember me" when I login, when I come back later I am logged out again
Remember me works for most users, however some cannot stay logged in (when they close the browser and open again they are logged out). Please either post here or PM me if you have this problems, including the browser you use and if you cleared your cookies to help us solve this faster.

This should be fixed, let us know if you still have trouble.

3) The login time counter is stuck.
The login timer is in your info box in the top of the forum and in the login area of the rest of the site. It should show something like: "Total time logged in: 14 minutes.".
This value isn't increasing while you are logged in (or does increase very slow). We are aware of that and looking for a solution. Please note that this problem does not affect any functionality, it is just a personal counter.

I all-too-frequently come-in here and although the header says "Hey, laserfan..." if I reply to a post I get an error "Session verification failed, try logging-out and back-in again" or some such. This results in my carefully-crafted reply or post getting completely lost! I have to start over.

I assume this problem might have something to do with the fact that I may use a couple of different computers to check dvd-guides, and that there's a cookie conflict or something.

But I didn't have this problem before the new system was put-up.

I guess your cookie gets for some reason deleted before you post. Maybe you are using a public computer or some privacy program?

Well, right after I successfully posted the message below, I had no luck at all posting to the FUW boards. Guess I'll see if this works here and then go there and try again.

Yeah I thought it was cookie-related too but now I'm not so sure. No, I don't use any special programs at all; maybe my satellite service doesn't like this board for some reason...

EDIT: Now getting that error trying to say "ok I was successful"!!!!?!!

EDIT AGAIN: Well, my browser crashed (aborted with an error) when trying to post in the FUW area, but my post "took" Ok there. Maybe it is an issue with Avant Browser 10.1r38. This is an IE shell. I will try using IE here for a few days and see if Avant is the problem.

What did you find out?
Sorry afonic, I missed your post in Jan. Just found my way back here to report:

The problems I reported were persisting until the most recent update of the forum, what, a couple weeks ago now?

Very happy to see that I no longer am experiencing any failures--it had been frustrating to type-in posts and then lose them.

So whatever recent tweaks you did were Very Good Indeed for me! Thanks!
