Well because someone asked me via PM, I post this info here as well. As you have seen this forum redirects you to the board's index after you post, rather than the post page itself, unless you select "Return to this topic" in additional options when you post.

Yes but this is not the only way! Most people (including me) preffer to see their post after posting. To go there by default, enter your profile, select "Look and Layout Preferences" and enable "Return to topics after posting by default".
