hi guyz, complete newbie here... so please be tolerate of me if i say anythin stupid
i've looked around on the forums but havn't been able to find the correct topic relating to my problem
i bought a dvd rw yesterday and i have many avi files that i wish to burn onto dvd so that they can play on my dvd player
i was hoping to make a simple dvd menu for when it starts up so that i can choose what i wanna play
what i'm confused about is that when i convert my .avi files to the dvd format meaning the audio ts and video ts folders/files, won't it take up alot more space on the dvd than it does on my hard disk? the whole 4.3 gb for one movie is kinda big. my friends told me that they can fit quite a few movies onto one dvd but did not tell me how.

thanks in advance.
p.s. if this topic has been created in the wrong section then i'm sorry, to me this seemed like the most appropriate, please move it to the correct section.
