.avi to DVD

When I convert .avi files to DVD the sound gets converted but there is no picture, and the file is under 1/2 the size of the original.  Any ideas?

Hi,

maybe you need to install some codec, DivX for example?

If you don't have any codec or filter installed in your system I suggest CCCP that will allow playback of almost any video format available:

Ok, I dl it and installed, now I shall see if it fixes the problem.

Well it didnt work, any others I shoul try or any other ideas?  One thing I keep reading is that it is supposed to take 40-80min to convert a movie, but it takes me 13min to convert Saw, so.... I dont know what the bdeal is there either.  Any sugestions would be greatly appreciated.

Yeah, it was obviously some weird codec, most of the "no-video" programs are.
