I searched various boards and made several tries myself but yet to fine the proper way to encode 16x9 movies to 16x9 xvid..........
I am most likely missing something so please enlighten me...

Let's say we have a 16x9 material.  FU will display it properly in the cropping section (i.e. 16x9) even though the file shows 720 x 480 resolution (that 3:2 not 16x9???).  Now when I press the 16x9 cropping button it will crop from the left and right (why, the file is already supposedly 16x9?).
OK. Next I go to the section that let's me choose the resolution... TV mode unchecked, now when I check the anamorphic mode the wizard will offer to encode the move in a format that is not 16x9 (mathematically).  When I uncheck the anamorphic mode I can choose the resolution that is 16x9.

Why is that? Is this a bug in FU that choses incorrect resolution or I am doing something awfully wrong here myself???

My setup is a Philips UPNP player and Philips 16x9 CRT.
