Hello, Im new to these boards and to the WinAVI program. I have searched all 20 pages of this formu for help and have not seen any for my problem. First off I have Windows XP media center edition 2002 service pack 2 and as stated above am running WinAVI 7.1 . The problem I am having is that when im trying to convert an AVI file to a DVD file the output file that comes out is an MPEG file. So to clear this up is when the conversion is done i get a audio file and a ts file or something. Theres nothing in the audio file but in the other file there are 2 ISO files, 2 BUP files and 1 big MPEG file. My question is isnt the file supposed to be a DVD file or something? And i noticed that when i try the batch download option and try converting AVI to DVD the filetype output is set on MPEG. Its like i cant change the option to switch the format to DVD file. So thats my problem, any help is greatly appreciated and thank you for your time

Hi,it's very strange for that.
After you convert avi to dvd use winavi,it should give you two folders, one is AUDIO_TS,and another is VIDEO_TS.As you said, audio folder is empty. But in video,it should be two .ifo files, two .bup files and your .vob files. It can't be .mpeg file.
So you may need to make sure of that.
Good luck! Grin

Thats what i thought, i was wondering why it was spitting out an mpeg file. I just tried it again and it did the same thing. 2 ifo files, 2 bup files and a big mpeg file. No trace of a vob file anywhere. Sup with that? if i knew how to i would put a picture of what is coming out in the directory. Still need help here thanks

Ok, i just put the mpeg file into the converter to see what would happen if i tried to convert that into a dvd file. It converted the file but the out put was 2 ifo's and 2 bup's and 2 mpegs. Wow, i have no clue what is going on.
