I've run into four DVD's now that have me puzzled.  The latest one is "8 Below."  I've used DVD Shrink, DVD Decrypter and DVD Fab Decrypter so I'm familiar with them.  None of the programs recognize the DVD.  I can't even get the DVD to play on the computer using Power DVD or DVD Player.  Windows Explorer says that it is not a valid windows program.  DVD Decrypter gave me the message "Folder is Not a DVD Folder.  File (E:\Video_TS\Video_TS.IFO) Does Not Exist."  What type of protection is being used and what can be done?

I wonder if you just have a problematic disc.

I managed to rip "8 Below" using DVD Fab Decrypter and then used DVD Shrink to compress the video files to fit onto a single layer DVD disc.

This method seems to work in most cases, but I do occassionally get DVDs that have some VOB files that just can't be read by any of the software I use ... even though they work fine in my DVD player. Life is full of mysteries!  Smiley
