I have a video that i dl'ed which is split into two avi files.  I want to join these back into one avi, then encode this video in CCE.  When i try to append these with VirtualDubMod, it gives me this: 'Cannot append segment--The audio streams have different data formats'.  This doesn't make any sense to me in the first place.  In Gspot, for either of the two files, it displays the following information under Audio:  Codec=0x0055(MP3, ISO) MPEG-1 Layer 3 , Info=48000Hz 128 kb/s total (2 channels) LAME 3.90.  So i don't understand why VirtualDubMod won't append one to the other.   Every guide i read says ''make sure both have the same bitrate, codec, etc., but it doesn't say what to do if this isn't the case.  This is really frustrating me, and i can't seem to find out what to do anywhere.  I've looked on numerous sites, guides, and forums every day for the last 6 days, and i haven't found anything that helps me.  Please help!

UPDATE:  I opened my first file in V-Dub, go to Video>Direct Stream Copy, then go to Audio>Full Processing, then go to Audio>Conversion and change audio sample rate to 48000Hz.  Then go to File>Save as Avi and save as new AVI.  I did the same thing for my second file.  I was then able to append these newly created AVI's together!
