Is Fair use a real company?

I paid with paypal for Fairuse Pro with paypal and haven't received any info about downloading the updated version. Also, the email address
fairuse@fairusewizard.com
doesn't accept my email or it doesn't exist.
I would appreciate quick response or I will have to cancel my credit card because I'm not sure if this is a legit company.

Hi,
its not really a company, but yes there is a legitimate bussiness that is owned by ump. You should receive download information shortly, make sure you check your spam folder as well.
Also, there is no need to cancel your credit card, you are paying via PayPal (eBay company) so even if it was a scam the person you send the money too doesn't now your CC info.

I appreciate the word of encouragement. However, it is strange that the email address in the paypal receipt doesn't work.
I've purchased many software programs over the internet. You always get an immediate response and I've heard nothing from this purchase and now I'm going into the 2nd day without a word.
I will wait a few hours. If I haven't seen a response in about 4 hours, I will be contacting my bank.

Also, I checked my spam folder and there's nothing there. I paid 19.99 via payall (or at least I thought it was paypal...it might have been a phish site) and have received no response.
Hey..I have no choice but to protect myself and the facts here don't look good.

P L E A S E respond....
It appears to have hit my account. I'm just not hearing from anyone. P L E A S E respond and send me the software I paid for 2 days ago.
I'm not trying to give anyone trouble. But...I am concerned about this. Mostly, I just want this transaction to be finished so I can stop worrying.
If you're having trouble emailing me..send me email at
electricjungle@yahoo.com
and be sure to put "notspam" in the subject line. It's possible my ISP's spam filter is messing things up.

I've patiently waited for a response. I am done waiting. I will now contact Paypal and let them take care of it. Obviously, whoever is operating this business doesn't care about their standing with paypal.

To all concerned. You should beware. I found out paypal does not offer any help at all for software purchased over the internet. They will get involved for items that are tangible, but not for software that is downloaded.
Just thought everyone should know that paying with paypal is not safe for software. If you end up like me and just get took, well, it's tough luck.

Well..I think I finally figured it out. I'm supposed to steal the program over the internet. Damn..how can I be so dumb?
Well..I paid anyway...so thanks...and I feel better knowing I didn't accidentaly give my cc info to a phish site....my apologies anyway.

You should be a bit more patient instead of posting every 3-4 hours. ump has an email problem, he just sent me a PM. He will sort it out and of course send you the link to get the installation file.

Please look at the situation from my side. I emailed the address on my paypal receipt the next evening after paying the day before and it was rejected. I was told I would be contacted within 24 hours when I paid. My email address was known so he could have contacted me regardless. He could simply go somewhere else and send me a message.
My biggest fear was that I had accidentally responded to a phish site instead of paypal. They can be awfully convincing. I don't know anything about the seller.
I realize now that what I experienced wasn't a deliberate attempt to deceive. It was simply poor customer service.
If you would look at it from the customers' side, you would see that getting no response whatsover does lead one to worry, especially in this day and age of internet fraud.
My apologies for posting so much, but I was very upset because I am so careful and I was nervous that my credit card numbers might had gotten into the wrong hands.
Again, I am sorry for freaking out like that. If you were in my shoes, no response whatsover and the email address being bad in the paypal receipt was HIGHLY suspicious.
(not to mention it just pissed me off he took my money and didn't contact me)
I am done. As my kid would say, "it's all good". If I'm sent a download link, that is fine. If not that's fine too.

Yes from your point of view it makes sense, I just noted that you should be more patient ina web forum as someone may take up to day to reply (if you calculate the time difference you may post and it could be 3am here and me sleeping) not that you are not right.
The problem was that an OS update in FU's server created some problem with the email daemon, right now we are working on the problem.

The problem is NOT "real" or "fake" company.
The question is trust it or not.
Paypal is no good for software purchase for sure. Told me the same "sorry, no help here!!!" .
But as everything got right in the end it's useful to let people know. Why not a "don't worry you'll get it anyway" FAQ answer on FU site ?

I forgot to post an update here
ump's email is working again so you should get in contact with him if you haven't got a reply yet.
Sorry for all the trouble, as it was my fault too for not checking this before problems started to occur.

I'm who posted this question. I heard about Fairuse, was told it was a good program (I've since found out that is an understatement...it's a great program), but I've had to use a pirated copy
I paid 19.99 via paypal for the Full version and never heard from anyone.
Still haven't. Would appreciate having the most current version. (or I should say receiving what I paid for)
