When Apple TV was released, most pepole asked if we buy one of Apple TV, does that mean we can download movies anywhere (such as FreeMovieNow or EZMovies) on the iMac, and then watch them on our widescreen tv?
I think that unless someone hacks an aTV to play other formats, you're probably limited to iTS purchases or stuff that you encode yourself.I guess you could convert them to h264 or mpeg4 yourself

I don't agree with this statement. I purchased the software and find it very slow, Won't play if file size is over 2 Gig, and the company can't tell me why. Also don't seem to be able to get the sound converted correctly. I actually regret the purchase of the iTV, as it is a pain to get formatted video with going through the Apple Monopoly.
