I have a Canon ZR500. I captured using windv. Then I used Tmpgnc to prepare it for burning. I checked the file using media player and noticed the audio was a bit off part way through then it really got slowed. I used another program and the same thing. I'm attempting to burn to a dvd-rw just to see if that it will be the same on it. If it is, what may be the issue?

Have you tried playing the original DV or AVI file you made from the camera source? If that works fine then use something besides Tmpgnc to encode the file.  If it doesn't play right then use another program to get the video off the camera. If it doesn't play right in WMP or another video player then theres no reason copying it to a DVD-RW would let it play any better.
