Newbie Q:

How does video quality compare between Nero digital and xvid(using autoGK)?

Nero seems to be really fast with good quality

Autogk is slower, but is it better quality? (assume the same bitrate)

Thanks

Nero may be better at lower bitrates compared to XviD.
But my fave is XviD..

Thanks.
Just did some experiment..

on my Core 2 duo 2GHz laptop, Nero Digital takes 40 mins to two-pass a DVD (down to 600kbps rate)

using autogk, it takes 2hr and 50 mins for the same DVD and bitrate.. Geez.... and the sound is delayed...what's up with that?

For my untrained eyes, the nero quality seems no worse if not better than xvid..

I guess i will stay with Nero....
