Hi..I've been using winavi 7.7 for a while now and everything works perfectly except for encoding a avi with ac3 audio..If I chose Direct ac3 then it would crash. If I chose Mp2 audio I would end up with crackling audio. For a while I would just use Nero as a alternative but recently I found this site and the link to the patches which solved my audio problem. Now here's the real problem. No matter what I set the disc size to.(4300,4700).the output size is always 2.74gb and even though I wanted(and usually got) around 4.33gb. More space used up=better video bitrate. I'm guessing after I replaced the videoconverter.dll that it's updated with a new way of encoding and now limits it to under 3gb even if the video is 2 hours long. Any input on this at all? any help would be appreciated.

hmm..after messes around with some settings I noticed I could achieve a higher output filesize if I chose the Constant video quality option and put it to Highest. Only problem now is that it's too big for a 4.7gb disc..haha..I'll try Higher setting and see if I can get it just right. I guess the Constant Video size option now is useless since it doesn't adjust to your choice. *shrugs*

What is the overall size of the input file? There is a relationship between the size of input and output, and this is affected by the selected quality option. If you end up with something too big you can always use dvdshrink.
