I just bought an .avi standalone dvd player. Sofar it has played every .avi file, except for a recent batch of tv episodes. I was wondering if anyone could pick out of the attachements, i've added, what the problem could be? The season 2 file plays fine, but season 3 doesn't. I have alot of files, just downloaded, like season 3. Can i re-convert to make playable, or any other techniques?

any help much appreciated

Use a tool called MPEGModifier and unpack the bitstream from those files, will take a few minutes instead of re-encoding. Then try them in your DivX player.
