i have the winavi converter and i was wondering if anyone can tell me if using regular 4.7 gb dvd how many MB of the AVi or MPEG file combined i can fit on a 4.7 GB dvd? I noticed that i took a video of around 600MB and converted it into DVD format and than the total endedup being about 2.8 GB . The reason i need to know is cause i want to combine a bunch of small files andput them on 1 DVD to maximize the space on the dvd. Please help

I'm afraid it is hard to answer. Generally, it depands on mang factors, such as your source movies' scenes, settings for output files and so on.....

The combined lengths of the movie clips and the quality you want is the biggest factor.  At the best DVD quality you may only fit an hour or two on a 4.7GB DVD.  At the lowest you could fit a few hours.  I don't know what control you have over quality in WinAVI but check the length of the 600mb file u encoded and do some math. Length/2.8*4.7=that many minutes of movie clips.
