I have been trying to burn some AVI files using Nero 7 Ultra Edition. I am using Windows XP Home Edition w/ Service Pack 2. I have a Sony DVD RW DW-D22A which I have been using to try burning my AVI files (13 to 17 files) on to Dynex DVD-Rs. I use Nero Vision 4 and go through all the process of adding files and stuff. When it gets to the point where it says "transcoding and burning to disc" it suddenly stop and gives this error log. Sorry for not providing the error log. I don't know why it does that. I am all confused with the guides I read here too. I mean do i convert AVI files first and then burn or just try burning straight up.
My friend made me a DVD for me and it has AVI files on it. He also used Nero. Today it transcoded all the episodes and was clearly at the end and I thought it was going to finish burning but the drive ejected my DVD-R and the screen disappeared. I don't know what I am doing wrong. Can you please help me?
