I have bought a new computer (custom) to use for media playing in my home.  I want to be able to transfer my DVD\'s into the computer so that they are all available to watch.

My system is an Shuttle AMD 2600, 250GB HD, 512MB Ram, with Optical and 5.1 audio out, and S-video out. WinXP Pro.

Can this be done with the simplicity of selecting a movie like I would play a music file in Itunes or Windows Media Player.

Can I also be able to output DTS/Dolby 5.1 and other multichannel to my amp for decoding and playing? (my new pc has both optical out and 5.1 outputs from the sound card?

I need something simple enough that I can teach my girlfreind how to use, currently the DVD Decrypter/PowerDVD/Virtual Daemon is way to complicated, I need something that is point and click for her.

There is no simple way that I know. Maybe you can rip them with DVD Decrypter and then use PowerDVD and make a playlist.

Hi dive2exs,

The answer is really quite simple, all you need to do is to rip the DVD using CloneDVD and save the output as a ISO image file. If you have nero, you can then use Imagedrive to mount the DVD ISOs to virtual dvd drives. These will show up in the My Computer as a if there was a DVD inserted in your drive!

If think the new CloneCD has also got the virual CD/DVD capability.

Anyway, good luck, you can follow the CloneDVD guide here at DVD-Guides.com, but remember to save the DVD as a ISO!

Good luck Cheesy
