I'm brand new at this...I use XP/FAT32 and received the message "file limit <4gig"...How do I rip a single layer DVD to the HD?

Fat32 has a file size limmit of 4GB to get around this you should backup your HD and convert to NTFS that has no limit like that

or you could buy an external formatted with NTFS and save the trouble if you don't wanna reformat and such. then copy directly to that drive when copying.
