Download ‘Wondershare Video to iPod Converter’ from its official website:

Or you can download directly from here:
http://support.wondershare.com/stat/?action=down&id=6&sid=2
Then install and run it. The latest version is 2.5.0

Step.1 Import Video Files

You can click the ‘Add Files’ icon to add files you want to converter, this software supports batch conversion; you can add multi files at one time. Or you can right click the main interface to load files.

Step 2 Option Setting

After you add the files, you can select the output format, iPod accept MP4 format, so you should select MP4 (iPod) format. More over, this software support extract audio from video and save as MP3 or M4A format which fit for any other MP3 Player.
This software provides default setting in advanced, if you don’t want to change, you can go to Step 3 directly.

If you want to modify the setting, you can click the ‘Option’ icon on the top, and then a window will be popped up. Here you can set Resolution, Frame Rate, Video Bitrate, Format, Ration, Conversion Speed, Audio Frequence, Channel, and Audio Bitrate.

If you found your video’s color is bad or it’s a little dark, you can click the ‘effect’ icon to open the effect setting panel. Here you can drag the slider bar to modify the Brightness, Contrast, and Saturation according to your need.

Step 3 Start Convert
After you finish the option setting, you just need to click ‘Start’ icon to start the conversion.

Then the conversion window will be popped up. There be a useful option name ‘Directly transport video files to iPod after conversion’, if you check it and your iPod has connected to PC well, after the conversion finished, this software will help you transfer the files to iPod, you needn’t open iTunes and drag the files to iTunes and sync to your iPod. Very easy to use and really help.

Tips

Tip1. This software support snap pictures from the video. There be a little camera icon on the left part. You can click it to snap any photos you like, and you can save it as BMP or JPEG format which fit for iPod.

Tip2. If you just want to convert some part of the video, you can drag the slider bar below the preview window to set the conversion start and end time, or you can click the ‘Trim’ button to set it exactly on the trim panel.

Tip3. If you want to cut the black border of the video, you can click the ‘crop’ button to open the crop panel. Here you can drag the yellow frame to cut any parts you don’t want, or you can set it exactly on the left panel.

Tip4. This software embeds an iPod file manager, with it; you can easily copy or transfer video, movie, TV show or songs between iPod and Computer.

Click the iPod file manager icon on top of the main interface and open it, the left part is your video on computer, the right part is your iPod video files. For example, if you want to copy files from iPod to computer, check the box before the files on the right part, then click ‘left arrow’, your files will be transferred from iPod to PC automatically. Transfer files from PC to iPod is the same, you can easily manage it.

Tip5. You can right click the video files and click ‘Params setting’ to open the option windows. This function let you set different options to different tasks. For example, you set the conversion format for the first video in xVID, and you can set it for the second video in H.264. So you can import multi files at one time and set the suitable option for each task and then go away to do any other thing.

Tip6. Video player is integrated with this software, after you add the video files, you can click the “Play” button to preview your movie, if you double click on the preview window, you can also watch your movie in full screen model.

II.How to convert/Rip DVD to iPod

Step1.Import DVD files

1) Rip your DVD files from DVD-ROM drive by clicking “Open DVD”.
Many friends ask me how to copy movies form DVDs to pc. This process calls ‘Rip’. Additional, rip DVDs is illegal. This software helps you rip DVDs automatically. make sure your iPod connects well, you can open iTunes and check whether iTunes can detect your iPod. I face this problem before. Then I found the error is caused by my USB port, then I change another USB port, works well. Grin

The iPod Copy Manager is so easy to use, totally free. It can help you copy music video, movie and TV shows from iPod to computer when your system crashed or lost iTunes library.

I've used the software and the ipod transfer, really easier than itunes. it is a pity that it can't load external subtitle. I want to add a subtitle to the video like the DVD.
