Hi
Am using Convertx2dvd to convert files to dvd. Am then trying to burn them to disc using Nero 7.8.5.0. The file is 4.28gb , and the disc is 4.7gb, DVD-RW. When the disc has finished burning Nero says the burn was successful, however , when I reinsert the disc the Autoplay dialogue box asks if I want to burn files to the disc, and not to play it. When I check what files are on the disc it shows I have 2 files, the audio ts and the video ts, 4.28gb. I have tried to play this disc with everything I can think of, including 2 dvd players, but it just won,t play at all. I have tried to burn several discs, with different dvd files, and get the same result.
My operating system is Vista Premium, and usually use Winavi to convert, but Winavi doesn,t support Vista, so am having to use Convertx2dvd instead, and have yet to burn a successful disc!
Can anyone help please? Cry

When you are burning the disk what option are you choosing? Could be you are burning as a data disk instead of choosing 'new video dvd' (or similar). If burn data dvd it will not play in dvd player either I think.

By the way, I see from your other post that you are using dvd-rw. I gave up on these because they would not play in my computer. You could try +rw see if that works. I keep the -rw for data or audio now.

Hi
Am using the  new video dvd option, and I now have solved the problem. I was using convertx2 on my laptop, and found it didn,t burn beacuse the firmware wasn,t correct. I found that on my desktop when using nero that the disc wasn,t finalising . It now is , and works great, using +rw and -rw. I am using convertx2 on my desktop to convert and burn, and this is now working as well!
Thank you for your help, and I hope my reply helps other people as well. Grin
