  I'm unable to burn tv to dvd-r's using Nero 6 or 7. I was burning successfully using Nero 6 previously, but then it stopped working for reasons unknown to me. I purchased Nero 7 thinking this newer edition would work better in case Windows Service Pack 2 was the problem. However, still cannot burn.

I just recently reformatted my laptop thinking other applications were interferring, however, problem described below still occurs (Windows XP MCE, Norton Internet Security are installed). Updated Nero through its website as well.

Upon going through all the steps to burn video files (ie. dvr-ms Media Center Edition), nero will begin the transcoding of menus and video files but within 5 mins will stop and return to Nero StartSmart menu screen. burning of image to harddrive instead of to cd drive will result in the same thing.

Any assistance would be greatly greatly appreciated.
