ok, the problem that i am having is that when i convert the avi files, the first 30 mins of audio is distorted its like a scrachy sound then all of a sudden it comes on and sounds clear as the day.
I have tryed convertxtodvd winavi, dvd flick and dvd santa and am still having the same problem, also i have tryed another version of the file vidoe and it still happens does any one know of a solution? Also i have installed loads of codec pack such as cole 2k media pack and k-lite codec pack as these packs had all the required ones on as i thougt?

i dont know what the problem could be, but one workaround may be to export the audio to a wav file with VirtualDub, then add it back to the avi file before converting to DVD. there must be something odd about the first 30mins of audio if it does that..unless the audio codec is funky. give that a shot though.
