You are trying to compare two different things.

Dr.DivX is an encoding application which USES DivX Pro to encode. DivX Pro is a codec and it needs an encoding application in order to create a video file in this format.  Of course Dr.DivX is the encoding application of DivXNetworks so it includes and uses DivX Pro.

 So sorry Afonic, what I meant to ask was Dr Divx or DVDx

That\'s a correct comparison!

Between this two, I\'d suggest DVDx, especially if you want to encode DVDs as it has more options and is free!
Of course you may get a little better quality with Dr.Divx but it\'s DVD controls (like subtitles) lack.

I\'d go with DVDx.I have tryed Dr.DivX but it dons\'nt work haft the time for encodeing VOB\'s and is not only buggy,but takes for ever to finsh.You have to pay for Dr.DivX too,and thats dumb.DVDx is free,so naturly I\'d go for that one.

Thanks guys, that\'s just what I wanted to know... I am quite found of DVDx, so I am going to stick to it till I manage to buy myself a dvd burner which is probably happening at the end of next week, I hope, so keep your finger crossed for me..lol

Hey Tankkiller, I never had a problem using Dr.DivX, working ok here on this end.  Then again I only used it a about times so far only lol.

I like ViXD format much better then the DivX format though.
