I was using DVD X Copy Platinum to split a dvd9 into two disc but I don\'t want to use the program to burn the movie in step 2(when it asked to insert a recordable dvd).  Is there anyway I can create both discs and burn with the program of my choice?  I try to close step2 thinking it would continue to rip the second disc but it just stop.  Please help!

why dont you want to use dvdxcopy to burn?  is there a program that does the job better?

in setting change the temp folder to your desktop.  i think any location would work but i def. know the desktop does from experience.

I haven\'t try DVDxCopy to burn the disc because I want it to create both disc before burning, but it only creates disc1 and ask you to put in a blank dvd-r.  When does it creates the second disc?

It creates the first disc, burns it, then you enter the original again, it reads it and burn it.

Is there a way to set it to create two disc first then burn afterward?

I\'m not sure why you would want to, but yes you can.  The first thing you do is use the advanced mode rather than the express.  Insert your dvd and go throught the first step as normal. When it gets to step 2 and asks for a blank disk do the following:
1. Create a folder for those file elsewhere on your computer
2. move, not copy (it takes to long) the files in the video TS folder to the floder your previoulsy created.
3. Once you have moved the files you can close DVD X Copy Planinum
4. Open Nero if that\'s your program of choice and use the create a DVD video selection. browse to the folder where you moved the Video_TS files and select ALL the files and move them over, then burn.

Everything should be fine, but again I\'m not sure why you want to do this since the complete DVD X Copy Platinum is a fantastic program
