First of all please excuse my silly english. It's not my daily mouthpiece.  Tongue

I'm using Fairuse Wizard 2.6 in Xvid mode. When it comes to encoding settings I'm using the automatic preferences because I've no clue about NATIVE, BOB... , etc..

Very often the avi quality is good.  Grin

But sometimes it looks like this...

What am I doing wrong???  Huh

Well...

THANX for the advice.

But when shouls I click DEINTERLACE???

I don't think that I should do it for every encoding.

A bit more SPECIFIC and DETAILED information would be appreciated.

When your output video looks like this you should select it. Otherwise you should trust auto detection as it works 90% of the time.

WEll... That's definitely SHITTY because Fairuse Wizard needs upto 4 hours for the avi creation.  Angry Angry Angry

That's long. I got 3 bad results now!!! Cannot recommend this proggy anymore!  Angry Angry Angry

AutoGK is FASTER and gives GOOD results too. I'd never anything like that with it. AutoGK needs 1 hour on my machine. And I can use the original AC3 audio too. Wink Grin

Fairuse is BUGGY n' not qualified to be sold commercially. Selling buggy proggies is RIP OFF!!! Angry Angry Angry

I even encode DVD's to DVD-R with the Cinema Craft Encoder in 3 passes in more or less 2 hours.  Grin

Why does Fairuse need 4 hours on a dualcore machine and gives BAD results after such a long time???  Huh Huh Huh

Conclusion: NOT RECOMMEND !!!

If autodetect says that movie is "native" you should mark deinterlace. Simply that.
