when i record cgi films like toy story or video game like blue dragon or final fantasy i set the mb to 850mb and they look ok  and i want them to look better.can any one recommend what i should set the mb limit to. so that they look good.

umm, 900mb? little bit higher? Tongue

Are you using divx? you could try shaping instead of masking also, (since toy story is cartooney anyway). And you can always try higher or lower resolutions, see what appeals to you.
