Heres a free utility that I found of that can copy music and video off the iPod nano/touch and to your PC.
With the free iPod Music Transfer, you can easily copy back your songs, videos and DVD movies from iPod to computer when you lost your iTunes library or your iPod for repair or system crashed.

I have never tested it, but for those who want to try, here it is:

If anyone knows of any other good software for iPod nano/touch, please state.

The free iPod transfer? I have never used.
But the iPod converter I have used, great! I like the "crop" function.

The iPod conveter I also have used,it's really easy to use.The "Trim" function could let me trim the segment I like to convert.I'm very like it.

as for myself,I am fond of two ipod converter cucusoft DVD to ipod converter and xilisoft DVD to ipod converter, and prefer  xilisoft between the two
