Hi I am using winavi ver 8. When I convert a movie it comes out a small size like 2 or 3 gb. To me that is a lot smaller than what I got with ver 6.3. I feel it is a waste to put on a 4.7 gb dvd disc. I have read that the closer you get to 4.7 gb the better quality the movie is. I have messed with settings in advanced so much I am confused. What is the best settings for  constant quality by max bitrate,
constant output quality, and constant output filesize? What is the best option to use of the 3 listed?

You will find that due to the excellent new compression algorithms used in version 8 that there is very little difference in quality between the various settings unles you are going to view them on a 40 inch plus tv.  Also, remember that if you are converting from divx etc. to dvd there is no way that you can improve on the original compressed file so there is no advantage in having a large dvd file size.  If you experiment with the various settings and compare them, you will see what I mean.
