When I use the new version 2.8 to convert my DVDs, the specified file size does not work. In first attempt, I selected X.264 for video and Vorbis for audio and set file size to 40 MB. The resulting file was about only 7 Mb. The second attempt: VP7 for video and Vorbis for audio with the same 40 MB file size set. The resulting was a 160 MB file. The problem is not the Vorbis for audio because change the audio codec to MP3 gives me the same results.

I'm using KL Codec Pack Mega 3.90 on my computer and it never gave me problems, so I think that it is not the problem here. Also, I used the internal version of X264 and the KL version. In both cases, the results are the same.

I appended the two log files to analysis.
