looking for some help on this one, i'm baffled. i'm using 2.8 to rip one of my DVDs to iPod Video format (specifically Aqua Teen Hunger Force Season 1 Disc 1). there are 8 episodes on the disc. they all rip successfully and play correctly on my computer in iTunes and Quicktime. however, one specific episode (#5) will not copy from iTunes to my iPod, even though i ripped all of them using the same exact settings. i've tried it multiple times, same thing every time. iTunes tells me the following:

"file name" was not copied to the iPod "iPod name" because it cannot be played on this iPod.

i didn't change any settings in the entire program prior to doing this, except that i had to turn off Delete Intermediate Files because it was erroring out. my cropping regions are the same on each file, and like i said, all other settings are the program default except it's set to iPod Video.

can anyone think of a reason that this is happening?

here are the settings i'm using:

Options:
all program defaults except Delete Intermediate Files is disabled

iPod Video selected for format
Start 0
End 20795
Ch. 01 (00:11:33)

Cropping region:
left 0
right 719
top 479
bottom 0
Native mode
size 350mb (comes out much smaller)
iPod Video
320x224 output video size

anybody know what gives here?

metal,

Do the other videos move over and play correcty on your iPod?  If so, try converting the 5th episode on it's own and then move it over.  If that doesn't solve the problem, email fairuse at fairuse@fairusewizard.com with the details and a copy of the log file from the problem and I'm sure he will try to help you.  I emailed back and forth with him quite a bit during the issues with 2.6 and and he was very good about looking into the issues.

Stussi,

yeah, the other videos copy to and play on the ipod just fine. and even more baffling is the fact that the videos that won't play on the ipod still play just fine in itunes and quicktime.

i've pressed forward with my ripping, and i have now ripped 29 episodes across 4 discs. 5 of these episodes (one per disc, 2 on the second disc) have now given me the same problem. it's almost like clockwork at this point that 1/6 of these just won't copy to the ipod. i did try the original one by itself a few times, and the same thing happened regardless. i'll try one more and send him a log file, thanks for the suggestion.
