There are actually two bugs associated with this. One has been there for a while, and the other is new with the 2.8 release.

When "Include Subpictures" and "Extract subtitles" are checked (to create external .sub/.idx files) two bugs occur:

1) The .sub and .idx files are NOT copied to the "Output directory" as defined in the "Options" screen. Example: If you specify the "Output directory" as C:\videos\output, the .AVI file is created in that directory, but the .sub and .idx files are still located in the project directory. It would seem the correct behavior would be for those files to also be put into the "output directory" as well once the encoding is complete.

2) With the new 'Custom Naming Feature' introduced with 2.8, the .sub and .idx files do not get the custom naming applied to the file names. They still have the "% session %=10" name in them.

Example:
If I specify as the project name: "My Show - % session %=10" the following is the final output.

My Show - 10.avi
My Show - % session %=10.idx
My Show - % session %=10.sub

It really gets bad if you actually DO have multiple sessions for a given project. They then get "% session %=10.session-01" as the filename. It is difficult at best to try and get the correct .idx/.sub files matched up with the correct .avi file.

I hope that description was clear. Thanks again, and keep up the great work!

(NOTE: I had to put a space in between the % and the s AND, the n and the % because of the formatting that gets applied on the board.)
