I uninstalled FU v2 completely, and installed a copy of FU v1.2.

Exactly the same fault on my PC, right hand screen cut off. I am really sad as I really want FU v2 to work on my new PC, it must be a setting on my PC somewhere?

Sorry, I REALLY thought I had nailed the problem with the nvidia utility!

I do think it\'s a PC issue but maybe ump will have more ideas...

One more idea: go to Display Properties, Settings and Advanced and look at the General tab. The Display DPI Setting should be 96dpi. Even if it is, set it to 120dpi and Apply and launch FUW. Close FUW and go BACK to this setting and change it back to 96dpi. This has been known to fix some similar type of problems.

Laserfan your a genius!!

I had the DPI setting as a custom one, dont know if it was me or had been set by the manufacturer.

I changed to both the standard 120dpi, and 96dpi and FU v2 opened no probs.

I thank you so much for the support and suggestions you have given, and now I can get on and start using this excellent program.

I apologise if I have seemed abrupt, no intention was meant at all, it was just frustrating not being able to get it to work

FAO ump, there\'s no need for the refund now, as I can now enjoy the new fantastic FU v2 (if only it had natie file support, there would be nothing whatsoever to touch it.

thanks again, and no doubt I\'ll still be posting

cheers

Great! I\'m very glad it worked for you--I was all out of ideas!!! This surely would have \"bit\" you w/other programs in the future--maybe ump can change the way FUW draws windows or something so he doesn\'t have future issues w/users.

You will like the program, and you got a REALLY good deal on it!  B)

yeh I think he should add it in the FAQ, I can send him a few screenshots to show the prob and then describe the fix

Thanks again laserfan.

Strange thing is all the other progs were alright, maybe others in future might have but at this time only FUW was and so thought it was prob with that, obviously something within as you say FUW draws the windows does have some sort of prob  which maybe ump can have a look at

Wow! I\'m impressed... I\'ve been trying to refroduce this since the early times of FU development without success. Now that I am able to reproduce it I\'ll try to solve this, and as a last resort add the solution to the FAQ.

Thanks to you both andyloc and laserfan.

Regards,

I know this is an old thread but this is still relevant even now. It was because of this thread that I was able to FINALLY fix FairUse and get the program window to appear properly Grin

Some of you talked about adding images to show the actual problem but none of you did. So I'm going to add images of what my problem was/looked and how it is AFTER changing the DPI.

Now this is what it looked like before I changed the dpi:

Custom Dpi - 115% (110dpi)
~This is default setting~

Now these 2 are AFTER I changed the dpi:

96dpi

120dpi

I of coarse had to reset the computer in order for the changes to take full effect.
So hopefully this will help people with there problems.

Reminder: (Left click on Desktop> Click properties> Settings tab> Advanced button)
You must go to your computer's Display Settings window and click the Advanced button and there you will find the dpi settings.

Bye! Wink
