What format does Apple family products support and how to get high quality videos and songs into Apple player

Recently Apple family has released popular media players such as iPod Touch, iPod Classic, iPod Nano, iPod Shuffle, iPhone and apple TV. You may want to get your favorite movies and songs in your player from DVD, YouTube or any other ways. However, the Apple family products are different from each other. They support different audio and video formats. If you want to get your favorite movies and songs in your player you should know what format your player support. Now I will give you the detail information about their supported audio and video formats so that you can get perfect videos and songs into your Apple player.

iPhone
iPhone player support the audio formats: AAC (16 to 320 Kbps), MP3 (16 to 320 Kbps), WAV
iPhone player video supports MPEG-4 format: 640 *480 pixels, up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, mp4, and .mov file formats

iPod Touch
iPod Touch also support the audio formats: AAC (16 to 320 Kbps), MP3 (16 to 320 Kbps), WAV
iPod Touch video support MPEG-4 format: 640 *480 pixels, up to 160 Kbps, 48kHz, stereo audio in .m4v, mp4, and .mov file formats. It also support for 480p and 576p component TV out.

iPod Nano and iPod Classic support the same audio and video formats as iPhone.

iPod Shuffle support AAC (16 to 320 Kbps), MP3 (16 to 320 Kbps) and WAV. It doesn’t support any video format.

Apple TV
Apple TV support the audio formats: AAC (16 to 320 Kbps), MP3 (16 to 320 Kbps), WAV
Apple TV videos support MPEG-4 format: Simple Profile with AAC-LC audio up to 160 Kbps (maximum resolution: 720 by 432 pixels at 30 fps) in .m4v, .mp4, and .mov file formats

Step 1: load DVD movies.
