VHS-DVD

Hello all,
hope Im in the correct section here. What I am trying to do is copy my vhs's to dvd. I am using "Honestech vhs-dvd" and have done all the updates and patched to it. Now this works fine for vhs that are less then about 110min long but anything longer I have to put it on the "long dvd setting" and the picture quality is not that great, yes I know the quality will not be that great when going from vhs to dvd but when I can get the whole vhs on on the one dvd without using the long dvd setting it doesnt look half bad. Well I was wondering how I would be able to save the recorded video(not sure is what format) and then use somthing like dvd shrink to shrink it and maybe get a better quality dvd then using long dvd setting. If someone has a better Idea please let me know. Oh I can break the long ones down using the program into 3.99gig but like when I tried to do "Aliens" there were 3 of these and I dont want have three discs when theres a chance I can have one.

The DVD has a standard size, 4.38GB, so the quality of the disc depends on how many minutes of video you will put in it.

While I have not tested this program myself, I guess than when the time exceeds a limit they change the DVD resolution to a lower setting, that is why you get bad quality. So you should either look for another program or ask them how to bypass that automatic setting and store your movies in full DVD resolution.
