:?: i know this will sound dumb to a lot of u but i\'m new to this so bear with me. is there any way to tell if a file you want to down load is a ntsc or a pal before u d/l it. 3 of the last 4 files i d/l have been pal. i can do nothing with them so it\'s a waste of time to get them.  i\'m also still haveing trouble with rar files. i just can\'t seam to get it wright. i  know everybody said to just unpack them to some place on your hard drive and i do but all i get is a another set of rar files. i can\'t seam to get to the movie or what ever i want. i looked through the guides but can not find one. any help on these two quistions would be greatly appreciated. thanks for any and all help. (i know i\'m dumb so just get over it lol) :?  :oops:

No you cannot tell that before you download.

But why you say you cannot use them, why\'s that? Your PC player everything!

Sad thanks afonic: i can watch them on my pc but not on my dvd player. i would just like to watch on my dvd player. how about the rar files? do you have a guide for them. i don\'t know way but i just have a hard time with them!!!!! (i know i\'m a little slow but hang with me lol)

Well you have to convert them to MPEG2 DVD and author the DVD. We have a guide at http://www.dvd-guides.com.

RAR files are compressed files, not video files. Get WinRAR and decompress them.

:cry: thanks afonic. bear with me. i under stand thier compressed  and you have to decompress them. i have winrar. when i try to decompress them to a file on my hard drive i go to that file and im back where i started. i can get them to open for some reason. i know this not hard to do but i just can\'t seem to get it right. i went to the link site did not see anything on rar files. again thanks :cry:  :cry:  :cry:  :cry:

Well maybe they need some codec that you do not have?

Try Gspot to see the file info and find out if the right codec is installed in your system.
