Hey
I just installed the platinum version of DVD x Copy and am having some problems burning my DVD\'s.  The drive works fine seeing that i can burn things to DVD\'s, but for some reason it doesn\'t like to work with DVD X Copy.  It seems to burn the disc alright but for some reason when i go to look what is on the DVD in my computer, it shows nothing on the disc.  I also question wether or not it is viewing the disc as a DVD rom or a DVD +R.  Any ideas on what i could do to get this working properly.  I am not the smartest on the ol computer so please be somewhat descriptive in your response if you know how i should go about fixing this issue.

Hi,
Does Platinum reports the burn as successful and then it doesn\'t work anywhere? Can you see the contents in your DVD-R drive?

Maybe the disc is not finalized.
Get DVD Decypter, load the disc into your drive, right-click on your drive (in the source drop-down menu) and select Close -> Disc

I have the same problem.  Does DVD X Platinum finalize the CD at the end or do we need to do it?  Is it a version issue?

Usually there is no problem.

Sometimes platinum does not finalize.
Does the DVD work when you use DVD Decrypter?

I don\'t have that app. yet.
After I burned the backup copy I tested it on my laptop and the laptop failed to read the cd.  At this point I thought It might be a formato issue (i.e. my laptop will not read +R DVDs) so I tried it in the burner and I got a DVD-Video playback graph building failed error.  I\'m using PowerDVD 5 as the viewer.
Any ideas??

Thanks

How did you order this?

I would if I was anyone run out now to comp USA or anywhere where they have them and buy it now..

You can still get them with the ripper in it.  It\'s just you\'re not going to find it anymore with there software when they have to listen to the court order.  Damn RIAA/MPAA  I\'m tired of them already...

If you have order it and it\'s being shiped or as been shiped out already..  Then you should be good, I think they will make sure all orders go out really fast now before it\'s not possible.

I\'m just afriad of them remotley takening it away because of a court oder.

So I will firewall them and not allow in or out going connections period just in case...  I want to at least get a 149.00 worth out of it to be happy..  & I\'m sure they will just change the name but will be the same software...  This is one way around things for there users that all ready have it...  There is always ways around things with the net...

They will not remove anything remotely. It\'s ILLEGAL!

They will probably stop selling the version that includes the ripper.
I always use AnyDVD anyway, as most programs don\'t include a ripper.
It just runs in the background and you\'re OK!
