Hi everybody,

I\'m new to this forum and have found the \"VCD To DVD Conversion Guide\" extremely helpful.  My thanks to Afonic for such lucidly written article involving pretty technical isssues!

Anyway, I followed the steps and have been successful until Step 6:

\"All that\'s left is author the DVD. We have two authoring guides that you can follow below. Make sure you select the right video file (the one we create in Step 4) and the right audio file (the one we just created with BeSweet).\"

Now the authoring software I use happens to be Roxio\'s DVD Builder (part of the \"Easy CD & DVD Creator 6\"), and I have not been able to get it to recognize the video file created in Step 4--the one separated from the audio track.  The \"Import Files\" function keeps finding only the original MPG file, the one with the old 44,1KHz-encoded audio, that is.

What can I do to get the right video file to be combined with the transcoded new audio file?  I\'d appreciate if somebody familiar with Roxio\'s software would throw some light on this issue.  Thanks so much in advance!

Hi,

Try renaming the mp2 file to mpa, it will probably work this way.

But, Afonic, isn\'t the MP2 file format required in the BeSweet application?  Plus, my problem concerns the MPG file not recognized when separated from the audio track.  It\'s properties show tha it\'s a MPG file, just like the original one still bound with the audio, but somehow it\'s not usable.  When worst comes to worst, if I attach the new transcoded audio to the video file (the  one before the audio-video splitting) and select \"replace with the attached file\", would it be the same as if I were able to combine the \"pure\" video and the transcoded audio?  Thanks again.

I am not familiar with that program.

Maybe you want to download the trial version of TMPEGEnc DVD Author.

Afonic,
I tired the NeroVision Express and succeeded in wedding the pure video and the newly encoded audio.  So it must have been Roxio\'s software problem (incompatibility issue?).  But thanks so much for trying to help, anyway.

I told you that I had not heard of this program before, so it must not be a good one!  Cheesy

Glad you did it.
